FRANKLINVILLE — Gowanda defeated Franklinville, 24-35, and picked up wins over Frewsburg, Cattaraugus-Little Valley and West Valley due to incomplete teams in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country action Tuesday.

Autumn Pupo of Gowanda was the overall winner for the girls with a time of 22:05 on the 3.1-mile course at Franklinville. Calie Hudson placed third, Kailyn Farner eighth, with Miranda Kaminski and Ke’ya Stevens rounding out the top five for Gowanda.

Gowanda is now 5-1. The Panthers will run again Saturday at the East Aurora Invitational.
