Frewsburg coasts past Dunkirk; Pine Valley falls

FREWSBURG — All six of Frewsburg’s players scored in double figures as the Bears beat Dunkirk 80-16 in nonleague girls basketball Monday.

Elise Sposato led Frewsburg (11-2, 2-1 CCAA Central) with 23 points and five steals; Teghan Trocki had 14 points; Ava Jimerson had 12 points and three assists; Madigan Collver had 11 points and three blocked shots; Tyra Clark had 10 points, 18 rebounds, five steals and four blocked shots; and Taytum Jimerson had 10 points and three assists.

Anadallane Rodriguez Otero and Gracey Kenner each had 5 points and four rebounds for Dunkirk (1-10, 0-3 CCAA D1 West).

BRINK LEADS PANAMA

PANAMA — Mandy Brink had 19 points, six assists and four steals as Panama beat Maple Grove 55-33 in nonleague play.

The game was tied 9-9 after one quarter, but the Panthers (8-4, 3-1) outscored the Red Dragons (6-7, 2-1) 14-5 in the second quarter to take control. Panama put the game away with a 21-10 fourth quarter.

Lilly Odell added 12 points; Hannah Schauman had four assists; Kaitlyn Horton had six rebounds; and Kylie Morgan had five rebounds for the hosts.

Madi Price led Maple Grove with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sam Snow also had seven rebounds and Hannah Tarbrake also had three assists.

MORRISON SHINES FOR RANDOLPH

RANDOLPH — Randolph defeated Pine Valley 65-26 for a nonleague win.

The Cardinals (9-3, 2-1) were on the Panthers (5-7, 4-1) early, outscoring them 25-5 in the first quarter. Randolph was sparked by Payton Morrison scoring 12 of her game-high 28 points in the opening eight minutes. She also finished with five rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Kyra Pence picked up a double-double for Randolph as she scored 12 points, dished 10 assists, grabbed seven rebounds and made six steals. Katelyn Storer added 8 points and six rebounds.

Trista Farnham led the way for Pine Valley with 10 points.
