Morrison, Pence lead Cardinals past ‘Billies

RANDOLPH — Payton Morrison and Kyra Pence combined for 50 points, including 29 in the first half, as Randolph beat Fredonia 66-24 in Division 1 West action.

Pence finished with 25 points, seven assists, six rebounds and six steals while Morrison had 25 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinals (6-2, 1-0).

Randolph led 39-15 at halftime before putting the game away with a 27-9 second half.

Ashlynn Delcamp led the Hillbillies (4-6, 0-1) with 6 points and 10 rebounds.

BEMUS POINT — Sam Snow had 19 points to lead Maple Grove past Gowanda 40-29 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Central Division girls basketball Tuesday.

Erin Mansfield added 8 points, eight rebounds and six steals while Madi Price grabbed 11 rebounds for the Red Dragons (5-5, 1-0).

Crissa Scanlan led the Panthers (5-3, 0-1) with 11 points while Chloe Luther and Aaliyah Stevens each had 9.

GOLDEN FALCONS COAST

FALCONER — Grace Lundmark had 20 points and six rebounds to lead Falconer past Cassadaga Valley 63-29 in the Central Division opener for both teams.

The Golden Falcons (6-2, 1-0) led 13-2 after the first quarter before putting the game away with a 22-4 third quarter.

Tess Spangenburg had 14 points and six rebounds; Dani Krenzer grabbed nine rebounds to go along with four assists and five steals; and Kamryn Harper had five rebounds in the victory.

Aliyah Hopkins led the Cougars (3-4, 0-1) with 12 points, seven rebounds, seven blocked shots and three steals while Emiley Anderson had 10 points and three steals.

WEST ELLICOTT — Reece Beaver had 26 points, seven assists and four rebounds to lead Southwestern past Dunkirk 80-22 in Division 1 West play.

Bella Sirianni added 15 points, five rebounds and four assists; Kira Ricker had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists; Faith Hamilton had 10 points; and Maddie McIntyre grabbed eight rebounds for the Trojans (3-4, 1-0).

Molly DiCara led the Marauders (1-7, 0-1) with 12 points.

PANTHERS HOLD OFF T’BIRDS

PANAMA — Chautauqua Lake missed a pair of 3-point attempts in the closing seconds and Panama escaped with a 49-46 Division 2 West win.

Mandy Brink led the Panthers (5-3, 1-0) with 21 points and 10 steals to go along with seven rebounds while Lilly Odell had 15 points. Maddie Lisciandro had 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists while Kylie Morgan chipped in five rebounds.

Lily Woodis led the Thunderbirds (1-4, 0-1) with 12 points and Erma Wolcott had 10.

Panama led 19-10 after the first quarter as Odell hit three 3-pointers, but Chautauqua Lake took a 31-28 lead into halftime after Wolcott hit a pair of 3-pointers on her way to 8 points in the second quarter.

The Panthers then won the second half 21-15.
