Golden Cougars cruise to victory over Black Knights
FALCONER — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley ran for 274 yards and led 42-0 at halftime en route to a 42-7 nonleague victory over Silver Creek/Forestville.
The Golden Cougars (5-2, 4-2 Class B2) held the Black Knights (2-5, 1-3 Class C South) to just 97 yards of offense, including 45 on the ground.
Cam Bower scored on a 32-yard run before Dalton Caldwell ran in touchdowns of 7 and 27 yards. Caldwell also recovered a fumble for a touchdown, Matt Welsh scored on a 25-yard run and Caldwell scored on a 5-yard run before the half was over.
Bower led Falconer/Cassadaga Valley with 57 yards rushing and Caldwell had 43 as 13 Golden Cougars carried the ball.
Alex Galfo scored Silver Creek/Forestville’s touchdown on a 22-yard run in the fourth quarter.

WARRIORS RETURN TWO KICKOFFS FOR TDS
EDEN — Salamanca held nonleague Eden/North Collins to 132 yards of offense en route to a 48-15 victory.
Maddox Isaac ran for a 3-yard touchdown and threw a 24-yard touchdown to Arlen Newark to give the Warriors (5-2, 3-1 Class C South) a 14-0 first-quarter lead. After the Raiders (3-4, 2-2 Class C Central) ran back the ensuing kickoff, Jason McGraw tacked on a 48-yard touchdown run.
In the second quarter, Jesse Stahlman ran for a 13-yard score, McGraw returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown and Carmine Hoag caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Isaac as Salamanca went ahead 42-7.
Stahlman finished with 76 yards on seven carries. Newark returned a kickoff 91 yards in the fourth quarter for the final score.

CATTARAUGUS — Xander Hind scored on five of his eight carries as Randolph beat Cattaraugus-Little Valley 35-8 in Class D action.
Hind scored on runs of 51, 14, 24 and 34 yards in the first quarter before a 79-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter for the Cardinals (7-0, 6-0). The senior running back finished with 236 yards.
The Timberwolves (0-7, 0-6) broke up the shutout when Payton Bradley completed a 33-yard touchdown pass to Camden Young with 31 seconds remaining in the game.

WILSON — Wilson broke open a 7-7 tie with 20 second-half points en route to a 27-7 Class D victory over Frewsburg.
Jack Mahar ran 14 times for 182 yards while Connor Ernest rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown to Drew Dabill for the Lakemen. Evan Wolfe also had 66 yards and a touchdown while Ethan Lackner had the other score for the hosts.
Carter Pytlik and Wolfe each had a sack while Dabill had an interception for Wilson (3-4, 3-4).
The Bears fell to 2-5 overall and 1-5 in the league.
