N. Collins posts girls soccer win

SILVER CREEK — North Collins broke open a 0-0 halftime tie with three second-half goals to beat Silver Creek/Forestville 3-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West girls soccer Tuesday.

Novalee Schlenker scored from Breanna Kaczanowski, Autumn Awald tallied from Payge Murray and Schlenker scored from Kierra Puntillo in the final 40 minutes for the Eagles (4-4-2, 3-2-2).

Hailey Jasinski and Meadow Mitchell combined for three saves in the clean sheet.

The Black Knights fell to 0-11-1 overall and 0-7-0 in the league.

TROJANS BLANK F/CV

WEST ELLICOTT — Southwestern scored a pair of second-half goals and shut out Falconer/Cassadaga Valley 2-0 in Division 1 West play.

Kaylyn Carnes scored from Sophia Segrue in the 56th minute and Joslyn Brown scored from Makenna Johnson in the 70th minute for the Trojans (5-7-0, 3-5-0).

Braya Beaver made eight saves in the clean sheet.

The Golden Cougars fell to 5-6-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the league.

BEARS ROLL AGAIN

FREWSBURG — Ava Jimerson had two goals and two assists to lead Frewsburg past Chautauqua Lake 6-0 in Division 2 West action.

Jimerson scored twice while Alexandra Hultberg and Kaydan Bush also scored in a 4-0 first half for the Bears (10-0-0, 5-0-0).

Kaylee Cappa and Brionna Dumaine added second-half goals.

Hultberg had two assists and Molly Spontaneo had one for Frewsburg, which has not allowed a shot on goal over its past four games.

The Thunderbirds fell to 6-2-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the league.

EAGLES HOLD OFF RANDOLPH

ELLICOTTVILLE — A three-goal first half carried Ellicottville past Randolph 4-3 in East Division action.

Aaliyah Winslow, Brooke Butler and Drew Ficek scored in the opening 40 minutes for the Eagles (6-6-0, 6-2-0).

Gianna Bowles and Kyra Pence scored for the Cardinals (7-4-0, 6-3-0) to make it a 3-2 game before Alysa Williams scored from Audrey Hurlburt in the 68th minute.

Bowles scored the final goal for Randolph.

Williams chipped in an assist for Ellicottville while Mattie Evans-Brown had two assists and Sara Smith had one for Randolph.

Stella Smith made 10 saves for the Cardinals and Abby Chudy made 10 for the Eagles.

ONE IS ENOUGH FOR WARRIORS

FRANKLINVILLE — Faith Long’s goal from Madisyn Lafferty in the 25th minute stood up as the winner as Salamanca shut out Franklinville 1-0 in East Division action.

Shea Monahan made five saves in the clean sheet for the Warriors (7-5-0, 5-4-0).

The Panthers fell to 0-10-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the league.
