Trojans hold off Marauders for league win
Matt Pannes scored 24 points for Southwestern as the Trojans held off the Dunkirk Marauders 61-57 for a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West boys basketball victory Monday in Dunkirk.
Cameron Lemk added 9 points for the Trojans (8-7, 3-3) and Paul Hayes hit two treys.
Dunkirk (1-11, 0-6) was led by Quanyay Thomas scoring 22 points with four treys and Lorenzo Lewis added 15 points and two shots from downtown.

GOWANDA — Quentin Centner scored 21 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and made two steals to lead Gowanda over Cassadaga Valley 48-41 in Division 1 East action.
John Ondus matched Centner with 16 rebounds for the Panthers (8-8, 2-6) and scored 13 points with three assists. Blake Herman scored 11, made three rebounds and a steal; Cole Herman had three rebounds and a steal; and Tyler Smith dished three assists and had two steals.
