Brocton falls to Franklinville 64-51

BROCTON — A bad second quarter from Brocton proved the key for Franklinville in Saturday’s nonleague boys basketball game as the Panthers topped the Bulldogs 64-51.

Jeremy Weisner led the Bulldogs (3-15, 0-10 CCAA D2 WEST) effort with 16 points and seven rebounds; Michael Garcia had 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, and Nathan Laurito scored 11 with seven rebounds and a steal.

Bretton Blecha powered Franklinville (7-10, 3-4 CCAA D2 EAST) with a 20 point, 12 rebound double-double and added two steals and a block. Beau Bielecki pitched in 18 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals while Grant Cornell had 19 points, seven assists, five boards and three steals.
