More details have been released in an incident that took place at Lakeside Park Wednesday evening.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, at 6:20 p.m. deputies responded to the report of a physical altercation at 3711 Route 5 in the town of Dunkirk. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Cristobal OQuendo, 39, of Dunkirk had caused injuries to a male victim and remained unlawfully upon his property. It is alleged that OQuendo cut the victim’s hand.

OQuendo was located a short time later and taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree assault and trespass. Deputies said He also had an outstanding warrant of arrest out of Chautauqua County Family Court.

OQuendo was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail per Centralized Arraignment Program.
