SILVER CREEK — An unidentified teenager has been arrested following an incident two months ago.

On June 27, at about 7 p.m. the Chautauqua County Sheriff Office was dispatched to Drake Street in the Village of Silver Creek to investigate a fight that occurred. The OBSERVER previously reported that a 19-year-old male got into a confrontation with a driver of a vehicle. the victim’s mother told the OBSERVER the driver then dragged the 19 year old forward and then backward with his vehicle. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle later fled the scene and the 19-year-old was taken to Lakeshore Hospital for leg injuries. She said the two individuals knew each other and had some prior conflict with one another.

On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office concluded the investigation and subsequently arrested a 17-year-old male, charging him with second-degree reckless endangerment. He was released with appearance tickets and is to appear before the Village of Silver Creek Court at a later date.
