The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the George B. Weaver Jr. Footprints Award. NCCF is looking for submissions that exemplify its mission of enhancing northern Chautauqua County. Take a moment to nominate someone you know, an individual, family or group who creates footprints for others to follow in the community.

Nominees should have a strong history of volunteerism, philanthropic endeavors (financial support not necessarily measured in number of dollars) and activities that have made an impact in the community, as well as enhanced the social and cultural climate of the northern Chautauqua community. Past recipients include George B. Weaver Jr.; Dallas Beal; Robert Maytum; Jim and Carol Boltz; Donald Q. Eno; the founding NCCF Board of Directors and the first elected board of directors; Richard S. Johnson; Edwin L. Hamlet; Doug and Ann Manly; Richard Anson; Steve and Helen Baran; Steve and Sue Cobb; Dick and Carmen Gilman; and Wayne, Elaine and Laurel Hotelling.

Return completed nomination forms by March 24, to NCCF, 212 Lake Shore Drive W., Dunkirk, N.Y. 14048. The form is available on the NCCF’s website, www.nccfoundation.org, or by calling 366-4892. All community members are encouraged to participate by submitting a name for the committee’s consideration. It is not a requirement that nominees have an affiliation with the NCCF.

The NCCF, incorporated in 1986, is a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, NCCF has distributed more than $12.9 million in the community through its various grant programs. It is an organization inherently committed to enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy. For more information on the NCCF, visit www.nccfoundation.org or call 366-4892.
