Submitted Photo From left: Fredonia High School graduates Kaelyn Hadley, Sydney Swan and Jacob Lesswing each received a Fredonia Central School Education Assistance Fund scholarship.

For 56 years, the Fredonia Central School Education Assistance Fund has provided scholarship awards to Fredonia High School graduates. This year, the group is proud to announce three more recipients of this scholarship. Jacob Lesswing will be attending SUNY Brockport in the fall as a business administration major. Sydney Swan has chosen to attend St. John Fisher as a nursing or biology major. Kaelyn Hadley is staying locally and attending the State University of New York at Fredonia. She will be studying theatrical production and design. She is the recipient of the Celia Beckman Award.

The selection committee meets with and considers each applicant carefully. Committee members assess the recipients’ goals, academic performance, and participation in extracurricular activities, community service, financial need and work experience. Recipients can attend a two- or four-year college, business or vocational school.
