Dunkirk High School Class of 1962 holds reunion

Dunkirk High School Class of 1962 recently held its reunion.
The Dunkirk High School Class of 1962 gathered on Aug. 4 and 5 to celebrate its 55th class reunion.
The weekend started on Friday evening with a get-together at Sam and JoAnn Mancuso’s residence. On Saturday, classmates attended the 4 p.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Church to honor present and deceased members of the class. Next they met at the Clarion for cocktails and dinner.
Master of ceremonies was Sam Mancuso and Joe Kuzora did a welcome and a 1962 stats and facts, Sharon Enserro Perdue spoke about the status of the class gift to be given to Dunkirk High School. Heartfelt talks were given by classmates Robert Barnes, Blaine Benjamin and Dave Militello. Pat Szocki Taylor read a poem honoring the deceased classmates and each name was read. A beautiful calligraphy scroll was created by classmate Rodney Geiben of the deceased names.
Benediction was given by Marie Griffo Cecala. Voices rang out with the class song to the tune of “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
Classmates traveled from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Washington, California, Pennsylvania.
