Northern Chautauqua Quilt Guild meeting set

Northern Chautauqua Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting this evening, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. at Harvest Chapel, 39 Matteson St. Fredonia.

Mary Smith will be the guest speaker. She is an accomplished quilter and long-arm machine quilter. She lives in Fredonia and hangs her quilts outside. She will discuss how she hangs them, protects them from the weather. Other topics include design choice, quilting techniques, choice of color and long arm quilting concerns. Her trunk show will include table runners, wall hangings and full-size quilts.

Concord Spellbinders Toastmasters Club to present leadership training session

On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., the Concord Spellbinders Toastmasters Club’s speaker James Rawcliffe will demonstrates how to naturally align your voice with facial expressions and other gestures to make a memorable presentation.

The event will take place on the campus of SUNY Fredonia, Room 180, Fenton Hall.

Guests may attend at no charge.
