Libertarian Party meets in Bemus Point
The Chautauqua County Libertarian Party held its annual convention on at the See-Zurh House in Bemus Point. The Chautauqua County Libertarian Party is a chapter of the Libertarian Party of New York and was formed in 2015 to advance liberty in Chautauqua County.
Chair Andrew Martin Kolstee called the convention to order. The following officers were elected for 2017-2018: Kolstee, chair and treasurer; Len Morlock, vice chair; and Sean Connolly, secretary.
The chapter endorsed Nathen Conrad for Carroll Town Council and he was subsequently appointed acting town chair for the town of Carroll, as the chapter is working to establish town committees.
Alex Merced, the Libertarian Party of New York’s U.S. Senate candidate in 2016, was a guest speaker via Skype at a May meeting of the chapter, speaking about his Senate campaign last year.
