City police were at the scene of an apparent stabbing late Wednesday.

Dunkirk police on Wednesday night responded to a reported stabbing at Washington Avenue and Seventh Street just after 11 p.m.

As of this morning, officers did not release any information. However, reports from the scene indicated two people may have sustained injuries during the altercation.

The stabbing took place after Fourth of July festivities in the city and as firefighters battled the blazes at two homes on Deer Street.
