Man drowns near Dunkirk

Crews from fire departments around Dunkirk were at the scene of a drowning in a pond located between Main Street Extension and Bennett Road just outside the city. The call came in regarding the incident just before 2 p.m. Chautauqua County Emergency Services, Dunkirk Fire Department, Dunkirk Police and East Town of Dunkirk Fire Department were at the scene. The victim, according to scanner reports, was male.
