This is the scene of a fatal accident on Route 380 in th town of Ellery Saturday night.

ELLERY -- New York State Police, along with the Sinclairville Fire Department and Chautauqua County EMS, were called to the scene of a fatal car accident on Saturday evening in the town of Ellery. The call went out at around 5:30 p.m. when a dump truck hauling a woodchipper allegedly struck the driver's side of a Honda Civic near the intersection of County Route 380 and Pickard Road; news reports indicated the driver of the Civic was dead at the scene.
The area was still blocked off to traffic as of late Saturday night as reconstruction crews worked to rebuild the accident.
No further information was available by the OBSERVER's press time.
