This was the aftermath of a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon on Route 5 in Silver Creek, near Save-A-Lot. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies, New York State Police and the Silver Creek Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire department provided traffic police to close Route 5 from its merger with Route 20 to Central Avenue while the cleanup was underway.
