GOWANDA -- In a battle of Panthers, the Gowanda Panthers (17-11) benefitted from six pins in defeating the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Panthers, 48-33, Tuesday in CCAA high school wrestling.
The highlight match of the night came at 170-pounds as Gowanda's Randy Conrow pinned Nick Burroughs at 5:08.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley received pins from Zak Federson (182), Vincent Pascarella (285), Tyler Penrod (152) and Dakota Crawford (160).
Both teams are back in action this Saturday at the Class D championships, which will be held at Cattaraugus-Little Valley. Finals are slated for 4:30 p.m.
