GOWANDA — Olean defeated the Gowanda Panthers high school wrestling team, 41-25, on Tuesday.

Two Panthers won by fall: Kiefer Austin pinned the Huskies’ Caden Cruz in 42 seconds during the 132-pound match, while at 145 pounds, Jake Monat pinned Jeremiah Crivelli in 1:02.

At 99 pounds, Gowanda’s Maddox Browning went to overtime to defeat Olean’s Riley Silvas, 9-7. The 106-pound match saw the Panthers’ Dave Ball win by major decision, 16-2, over Nate Gabler.

Gowanda had two more winners: Mike Lisckiewicz topped Kyle Liguari, 4-2, at 152 pounds; and Dominic Rodriguez won the 160-pound match by a 7-3 decision over Brad Barton.

The Panthers return to the mat Jan. 3 against Falconer.
