GRAND ISLAND -- The Chautauqua Lake-Westfield-Panama (CLCS) wrestling team had a strong showing at the Grand Island duels Saturday. As a team, CLCS went 4-1 with wins over Orchard Park, East Aurora, Lake Shore and Frontier, before falling to Grand Island, 42-26, in the final matchup.
Brendon and Bryce Rowe led the pack combining for a 10-0 record with nine pins in the 120- and 160-pound divisions, respectively.
Austin Bourgeois (132) was also undefeated, going 5-0 with four pins. Brendan Ramsey (126) finished the duels with a 4-1 record. Derek Ecklund (152) and Ben Szymanowski (220) both went 5-0 with three pins apiece. Trey Hoyt (138) and Trent Burchanowski both had a 4-1 records with three pins, and Hunter Harris finished with three wins and one pin.
