CONEWANGO -- Three people have been arrested for allegedly lying about being in an accident last month.
According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, on Feb. 10 at around 2:50 a.m. on Route 421, Conewango, a rollover took place where one person was seriously injured. Following an investigation, deputies allege that Terry Snyder, 59 of South Dayton, Brandon Cox, 25, of South Dayton and Christopher Ellis, 41, of Leon, all left the accident and went to a secondary location.
All three were charged Monday with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration. Snyder was additionally charged with leaving the scene of an accident while Cox and Ellis were charged with making a false written statement.
They were issued tickets to appear in Conewango Town Court at a later date.
