Investigation into shooting UPMC parking lot is closed

JAMESTOWN - The investigation into a shooting near UPMC Chautauqua on Wednesday afternoon revealed two people each died as the result of apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Jamestown police issued an update around 1 p.m. Thursday. Officers responded to the hospital at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of two unresponsive individuals in a vehicle in the parking lot of the emergency department.
