Winning a war with China would not be easy. Should we be caught up in a war with China we will have a difficult time replenishing munition stocks and replacing combat losses. During World War II, the U.S. manufactured 300,000 aircraft. Today the total number of aircraft in the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps is 2,531. I like to write about the annual robins who nest on my back porch. I enjoy watching their month-long odyssey from the home building to the final fledgling fly-off. I am responding to the commentary “Rallies prove many unfazed by big spending” (April 12). The article is filled with misleading information, accusations that cannot be substantiated, and far right radical interpretations of data. First point, Social Security is no ponzi scheme. The home of state champions

This has been quite a year for sports in our county. Several schools won at the sectional level, we have had state championships in wrestling and swimming, and recently the Frewsburg Girls Basketball team and the Panama Boys Basketball team brought home state championships.
