Rhiann Jakubowski and Joseph Eckstrom, together with their families, happily announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary Jakubowski of Dunkirk and John Jakubowski of Lancaster, New York. She is a 2009 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 2012 graduate of Fredonia State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental sciences. The bride-to-be is currently employed as a research aide at the Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory.

The future groom is the son of Christine and Ron Eckstrom of Fredonia. He is a 2007 graduate of Brocton High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Fredonia State University in 2010. He is currently employed as a recreation manager at Cassadaga Job Corps.

A September 2017 wedding is planned.
