Fredonia resident achieves Eagle Scout rank

JAMESTOWN — On Oct. 8, Christopher Miller of Troop 129 of Falconer, received the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America. A court of honor was held at the Girl Scouts Service Center in Jamestown. Chris received recognition from many notable dignitaries to include his scout master, Curtis Zdunski, National BSA representatives, Falconer American Legion Post Commander Dan Kell, village of Fredonia Trustee Douglas Essek, County Executive Vince Horrigan, State Sen. Catharine Young, Assemblyman Andrew Goodell, and U.S. Congressman Tom Reed.
Chris was commended for his dedication to the troop and community. Chris received his Eagle medal with bronze and gold palms. He then presented pins to his parents, and his chosen mentor Steve Cybart, past scoutmaster of Troop 129. Chris is the son of Kirk and Nancy Miller of Fredonia. Chris is enrolled at SUNY Fredonia where he is studying foreign language.
