Mr. and Mrs. Kristopher Cerrie

Mr. and Mrs. Kristopher Cerrie

Jill Marie Kubasik and Kristopher Michael Cerrie of Dunkirk were united in marriage on June 10, 2017 at the Red House in Cassadaga. To keep up with the rustic atmosphere of the venue, the couple chose a theme of burlap, lace and mason jars for their double ring ceremony and reception.

Friend of the bride and groom Jenny Michalek of Dunkirk officiated the ceremony.

Acoustic ceremony music was provided by members of the band Counterfeit, Derek McKinnon and Eric Burt of North Tonawanda. They did a beautiful version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” while the bride walked down the aisle as a tribute to those who were watching from above.

The bride is the daughter of Gerald (“Jim”) and Janet Kubasik of Dunkirk. The groom is the son of Bonnie and the late Michael B. Cerrie of Fredonia.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line side draped strapless white gown that laced up the back with beaded lace detail on the bodice, and a split back skirt with a beaded lace chapel train. To complete her look, she wore a crystal headpiece and a two tiered veil with a scalloped edge, beaded flowers and sequins. The bride carried a mixed bouquet of white and aqua roses and aqua hydrangeas.

The bridesmaids wore dresses of their choice in spa blue along with handmade necklaces gifted to them by the bride. Their bouquets were yellow gerbera daisies wrapped with spa blue ribbon.

Jeralyn Kubasik of Dunkirk, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. She wore a canary yellow floor length gown of her choice.

Bridesmaids were: Katelyn Kubasik of Naples, Florida, niece of the bride; Mindy Heath of Cassadaga, cousin of the groom; Jenni Fox of Dunkirk, sister-in-law of the bride and groom, Karly Sutton of Dunkirk, friend of the bride; Erin Barthel of Forestville, friend of the bride; Maggie Irvin of Silver Creek, friend of the bride and Kim Rybij of Louisville, Kentucky, friend of the bride. Flower girl Lyla Cerrie, niece of the bride and groom, wore a white bridal gown that matched the bride’s dress with a spa blue satin sachet ribbon.

The groomsmen were dressed in charcoal suit vests, white dress shirts, jeans and a spa blue tie. A yellow daisy boutonniere wrapped in spa blue ribbon completed their look.

Jeffrey Cerrie of Dunkirk, brother of the groom, served as Best Man.

The Groomsmen were: Davon Kubasik of Dunkirk, son of the bride and groom; Ryan Cerrie of Fredonia, nephew of the bride and groom; Christopher Howlett of Dunkirk, friend of the groom; Jason Bishoff of West Warwick, Rhode Island, friend of the groom; Craig Sutton of Dunkirk, friend of the groom; Richie Joy of Fredonia, friend of the groom and Tim Korzenieski of Dunkirk, friend of the groom. Michael Cerrie, son of the bride and groom, served as ring bearer.

A very casual reception was also held at The Red House with a buffet style dinner that was provided by 3C’s Catering of Falconer. Guests also enjoyed the beautiful scenery, a photo booth, cookie and candy bar, a fire pit with s’mores, a late night snack of pizza and wings from Blasdell Pizza in Dunkirk and signature drinks. The bride’s choice was “Something Blue,” a mix of pineapple-coconut rum and blue raspberry lemonade Kool-Aid, while the groom chose “Uncle Bob’s Whiskey,” a mixture created by Robert Bialaszewski of Silver Creek, uncle of the bride and groom. Friends and family celebrated with the Mr. and Mrs. with music played by Moving Music of Buffalo.

The couple will be enjoying a family vacation to Myrtle Beach with their sons and then will return to their home in Dunkirk.
