Ciara Carlson-Healy

Ciara Carlson-Healy was selected as the Fredonia High School Rotary Student for April. She is a senior at Fredonia High School.

She has been a member of Student Council the past four years and currently serves as the Council Secretary. She is also the President of Fredonia’s Interact Club, having been a member of the former Key Club and last year’s Vice President of the Interact Club. She enjoys playing flute and piccolo in the Symphonic and Jazz bands, and serves as the Symphonic Band Treasurer and Jazz Band Librarian. She has played in the Pit Orchestra for the four high school musicals, including the recent production of “The Little Mermaid.”

She is also a member of the National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society, and a delegate in the Model United Nations Club, where she has served as the Editor for the past two years.

Outside of school, she is serving her third year as a Student Member of the Parks and Recreation Commission and her second year as Vice Chairperson of the newly-created Fredonia Mayor’s Youth Council.

She plans to attend Middlebury College in the fall to pursue a degree in International Politics and Economies and go on to a career involved in international policy and research.
