Hannah Gullo

Hannah Gullo was selected as the Fredonia Rotary Student of the Month for February. She lives at 248 Water St. in Fredonia, with her parents, Luke and Courtney Gullo, and her siblings Kelly, Fred, and Luca Gullo.

From Kindergarten up through eighth grade, Hannah attended Northern Chautauqua Catholic School, and then transferred to Fredonia for High School. In her time at Fredonia, Hannah has taken 7 of the 8 offered AP courses, and is currently ranked second in her class.

Hannah has been a member of four varsity sports teams, including Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Cross Country. She was a member of the 2014 Class B Section 6 Championship Softball team, the 2017 CCAA Division 1 League Championship Cross Country team, and hopefully a few more championship teams this spring. She has received such honors as League Honorable Mention for Softball and Basketball, and League First Team all star for Cross Country.

Hannah also plays the flute, and has played since fourth grade. At Fredonia, she is a member of the Advanced Music Performance Program, and plays in the Symphonic Band, the Jazz Ensemble and the Pit Orchestra for the musical. Hannah has been selected for the All County Concert Band every year since sixth grade, and has also participated in the All County Jazz Ensemble, as well as the Area All-State Concert Band.

At school, Hannah is the President of the National Honor Society, and is a member of the Tri M Music Honor Society. She also serves on Student Council, is a member of Interact Club, and during the fall, Hannah acts as a delegate for Model UN team.

Hannah is a parishioner at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, and every week at Mass she plays her flute in the choir. She is a member of the local Catholic Youth Organization, and attended the Catholic Youth convention in Buffalo. Mainly through Interact Club, Hannah has been able to volunteer in the community in events such as the Special Olympics, the MS Walk and the Russell Joy Cleanup.

Next year, Hannah plans on attending Case Western Reserve University to study nursing and play basketball. She hopes to one day become a nurse practitioner or nurse anesthetist.
