Fredonia High graduate earns master’s from U.S. Army War College

CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA — Lt. Col. Garrett Kolo of the U.S. Army earned his master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on July 22.

Kolo is a Lafayette resident and will next serve at the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Virginia. The Army War College’s two-year curriculum educates and develops senior military officers from all U.S. military branches as well as foreign military officers and senior civilian officials from various federal agencies. The purpose is to help these officials serve in strategic level command and staff positions worldwide.

Kolo, who recently returned from serving in Kuwait, is a Fredonia Central School graduate and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Kolo.
