Fredonia High School inducts 37 students into National Honor Society

On Wednesday, Nov. 2, the Fredonia High School National Honor Society inducted 37 new members. High School Principal Darrin Paschke served as master of ceremony, School Board President Michael Bobseine delivered a speech congratulating the students on their academic achievement, and NHS Advisors Gina Gautieri and Lisa Richner inducted the new class of scholars.

The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

New members include: Sydney Aldrich, Francesca Arrieta, Mackenzie Bailey, Lydia Bird, Rachel Bowman, Ian Brown, Ciara Carlson-Healy, Alison Cortes, Andrea Dietzen, Julia Drummond, Emily Gronquist, Hannah Gullo, Olivia Gullo, Tyler Hall, Lauren Hill, Ashley Holt, Casey Huber, Lauren Kluck, Lydia Lanski, Gracie Morrison, Brendan Plaister, Kathryn Price, Grace Pucciarelli, Breanna Rosen, Jenna Salisbury, Seth Schrader, Kevin Seybold, McKenzie Slocum, Claire Stokes, Anna Talbot, Reid Tarnowski, Jillian Valvo, Cassandra Vecchio, Kelsey Vianese, Melinda Waag, Kyleigh Warren and Meredith Wheelock.

Following the induction ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 13, the FHS National Honor Society will conduct a Fall Sweep of several streets surrounding the Wheelock primary school. NHS students will be raking the lawns of community members free of charge. They look forward to it being a successful and enjoyable event for NHS members and members of the community.

National Honor Society Advisors Gautieri and Richner look forward to a productive year with this talented and dedicated group of students.
