Casey Black

On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School honors one student at each grade level as the Student of the Month. Teachers and staff had the opportunity to nominate one student who they believed met the following criteria:

1. Follows Westfield’s Rules of Respect for staff and peers.

2. Shows outstanding effort and improvement or shows achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects.

3. Prepared daily to participate in all classes.

4. Serves as a positive role model for peers.

5. Demonstrates a positive attitude and good citizenship.

Three students were selected as a Student of the Month for the month of April:

In 6th grade, Casey Black was selected as Student of the Month. In school, Casey enjoys band the most because it’s a class that is fun and you can joke around. She also enjoys math, fishing, and playing softball. Casey will attend college after completing high school.

The 7th grade Student of the Month is Jessica Navarro. The subject that Jessica most enjoys in school is math. Jessica enjoys basketball, and also plays soccer. After completing high school, she would like to go to college and pursue a degree in law.

Isabella Bratton is Westfield’s 8th grade Student of the Month. Isabella enjoys chorus, English and social studies. She loves to read, write and sing. Isabella has many interests, some of which include: babysitting, cooking and baking, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with her younger siblings. Isabella hopes to attend Cedarville College, and become a small business owner in Westfield some day, selling coffee and baked goods.
