Mother and son graduate from JBC

Alexis and Andres Rodriguez

On Saturday, June 2 Jamestown Business College held their 132nd Commencement Ceremony. This years’ ceremony is particularly exciting as it marks the first group of graduates to complete their degree at JBC’s Extension Site in Dunkirk.

Fifteen students from the Dunkirk Extension Site received their Associate in Applied Science degrees with a concentration in either Marketing & Management or Medical Administrative. Alexis and Andres Rodriguez, mother and son, were among the fifteen graduating. It was a very proud moment for both of them to be able to accomplish the attainment of a degree in a shared experience.

Alexis and Andres plan to continue their shared experience to further their education. They both have applied to JBC’s bachelor degree, which will be offered at the Dunkirk Extension Site.

JBC President, David Conklin, said that graduation is always an exciting time for the college. “This year’s graduation ceremony is especially meaningful with our first set of students graduating from JBC’s Dunkirk Extension Site,” he said. “Everyone at the college is proud of all of our graduates and can’t wait to see where their futures take them.”
