The Gary Tripp Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Monica Pokoj of Dunkirk High School. Monica will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the fall. The scholarship has been established using funds from the Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament was originally started to assist Gary with medical expenses and continued on for nine years after his death. The proceeds from the tournament also go to Roswell Park Cancer Institute GI Clinic and a scholarship at SUNY Fredonia for business majors.
