The Dunkirk City School Board of Education recently celebrated seven high school graduates, who are now off to their future.

The students officially earned their degree in January.

Sylvia Root, interim superintendent of Dunkirk schools congratulated the graduating students at a recent school board meeting. “We at Dunkirk City School are proud of our graduates, for their perseverance, their dedication, hard work and achievement in receiving their high school diploma,” she said.

Al Gens, Dunkirk High School principal, also had a few wise words for the 2020 graduates. “Speak less, let your results talk for you. Listen more, you do not learn if you do not listen. React less, the less you react the better you can respond. And observe more, the more you observe the clearer the situation,” he said.

The graduating students are Angeliz Vargas, Berenice Ramirez, Azariah Mosley, Josh Gines Pagan, Bella Donisi, Angelina Bowden and Beyonce Acevedo.
