Forestville announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Jake Smith

Jake Alan Smith, son of Sharon and Richard Smith, has been named the Valedictorian of the 2020 senior class at Forestville Central School.

He was a safety on the football team, a forward on the basketball team, and a sprinter on the track team. He plays alto saxophone in marching and concert band while he plays bass guitar in jazz and pit band. He is also a member of Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society.

He was also selected as a representative at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Convention in 2018.

This fall Jake will be attending Gannon University. He plans on doing a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Nathaniel Elliott Bock, son of Paul and Jessica Bock, has been named the Salutatorian of the 2020 senior class at Forestville Central School. Throughout his high school career, Nathaniel has maintained his place on the High Honor Roll and has earned an overall weighted grade point average of 101.89.

Throughout high school, Nathaniel has been involved in school clubs and events outside of school. He is a member of National Honor Society. He is a part of the Silver Creek/Forestville Black Knights’ Varsity track team. Nathaniel also participated in the last three musicals and does the lighting for other school events. Outside of school, Nathaniel participated in the Fredonia Mini Maker Faire and Rochester Maker Faire. This year at JCC Stem Wars he and his team won first place for the Maker event with a fully functional Skee-Ball machine they made from scratch.

In the fall, Nathaniel will be attending SUNY Buffalo. He plans to major in Computer Engineering.
