Ronald and JoAnn (Petz) Joy recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a special blessing given by the Rev. C.J. Westfield of St. Anthony’s Church at the 4 o’clock. Mass on Oct. 19. A family dinner followed at Sandy’s White Horse Inn in Cassadaga.

The couple was married Oct. 19, 1963 at St. Mary’s Church in Dunkirk by the Rev. John Francis Poole C.P. They have two children: Kimberly (Daniel) Pacos and Jeffrey (Denise) Joy, both of Fredonia. They have five grandchildren: Kevin, Marc, and Aaron Pacos; and Abigail and Elizabeth Joy.

Ronald is retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.
