Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson

Richard and Jean Anderson of Mayville celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28, 2016, with a family dinner. The celebration was hosted by their family. They are the parents of Rick and Cindy Anderson of Mayville; Bob and Donna Anderson of Amherst; Don Anderson of Westfield; Deborah and Elmer Kaprolat Jr. of Radford, Va.; Bruce and Kathy Sweeney of Ashville and Beth and Scot Cummings of Mayville. They also have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Anderson and the former Jean Vander Meulen were married Aug. 24, 1946 in the Mayville Lutheran Church. The Rev. Birt Harris performed the ceremony.

Anderson is retired from the former Ethan Allen in Mayville. They are members of Dewittville Hartfield United Methodist Church.
