James and Carol Balzer

Mr and Mrs James Balzer Celebrate 60 Years of Marriage

On May 3,1960 at St. Mary’s Church in Dunkirk, James and Carol Balzer exchanged their wedding vows. Mrs. Balzer is the daughter of the late William and Mary Wroblewski and Mr. Balzer is the son of the late Andrew and Hattie Balzer.

A small celebration was held at their home consisting of champagne, wine, pizza and wings. The coronavirus put a damper on any plans for a bigger celebration.

They worked hard through the years to provide a good home for their family. They have four children, James II, Laurie (Dan) Washington, Susan (Carl) Lis, and William. One of the best gifts they provided to their children was putting them through college. Mr. and Mrs. Balzer also have four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Balzer is a retired electrician and Mrs. Balzer is a retired registered professional nurse. They enjoy time at home with their three dogs and taking time to do their own things.
