Audubon Community Nature Center Volunteer Day and Nature Play Day, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown. 8:30 a.m.: Volunteer registration, 9 a.m., orientation, work crew selection, 9:30 a.m. to noon, work projects, noon to 1 p.m. Lunch. Dress for weather and dirt, bring work gloves. Parents/caregivers can drop off kids at Nature Play Area 9 a.m. to noon or the Third Floor Play Area if inclement weather. For this event only, adults don’t have to stay with children for Nature Play Day.

Amish Folk Art Quilting Class, Leon Fire Hall, New Albion Road, Leon. Coffee, donuts at 8:30 a.m. then sewing, quilting at 9 a.m. with Amish ladies teaching! Fredonia Food Pantry, 10 a.m. to noon, Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. Serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, zip code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food, given out depending on family size.
