Fredonia Farmers Market
The Fredonia Farmers’ Market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday mid-May through October on Church Street, downtown Fredonia. It features a variety of vendors, with special events TBA. A number of vendors accept EBT, NYS Farmers Market Nutrition checks and WIC vegetables and fruits checks.
Westfield Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market
Moore Park, center of Westfield, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locally grown produce, meats, baked goods, food products, craft items and more. Prepared foods suitable for breakfast and lunch and hot and cold beverages are also available. The Westfield Flea, an antiques and vintage market, is on the other side of the park.
Forestville Fall Fest

Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Point Gratiot Park, Dunkirk. Registration/check in at 10 a.m.; opening ceremony at 11, walk begins at 11:15. Route length: 2 miles. Every participant to sign a standard waiver through their official registration. There is no registration fee for Walk, but every participant is expected to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Empty Bowls food pantries support project

Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday open adoption hours
The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats.
