Amy King 5K Run/walk
Celoron Moose Club, 52 Dunham Ave., Lakewood, 11 a.m. Amy King was a flight attendant on United Flight 175 who died on Sept. 11, 2001 when the plane was hijacked. Proceeds raised from the run will benefit the Amy King Kids’ YMCA Summer Camp and Southwest Central School Scholarships. The $35 registration ends Nov. 25. Call 716 763-0303 for details.

Lighting – Christmas on Central
Indoors and outdoors, Central Avenue, Dunkirk, 2 to 7 p.m. Over 40 vendors and small businesses, live music, complimentary hot cocoa and food available for purchase from Central Station Restaurant, free raffle and gift card prizes, complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides from 3 to 7 p.m., children’s holiday craft-making and coloring contest in the Stearns building from 2 to 5 p.m.,, visits with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph and elves, Christmas Tree Lane. Live chainsaw wood carving demonstration by Vince Liuzzo, the Tree Guy from 2 to 5 p.m.. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with caroling at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of Dunkirk City Hall with Mayor Rosas, staff, community members and friends.
