Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. One must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a pet. The Cat’s Meow Boutique will be open for purchases by the public. For details, call 716 672-1991. Only cats are available for adoption this day, as the dogs will be onsite at a fund-raiser for LHS at Cattoos.

Lakeshore Humane Society Tattoos at Cattoos

Cattoos, 4867 W. Lake Road, Dunkirk, starts at noon. Artists will be tattooing small cat/dog/animal designs all day at a pre-set price of $60 with a portion of the proceeds going to LHS. Piercing specials, Chinese auction, raffles, custom air-brushing by the Chad, food trucks, door prizes. Dogs in need of loving homes currently housed at the Lakeshore Humane Society will be on site at Cattoos. (Only cats will be available for adoption at the LHS Adoption Center).
