7 Day St., Fredonia, Steele Room, 10:30 a.m. Learn how to conduct oral history interview at this free event. Free kits will be available to patrons to check out a book, a quick start guide, various consent forms and a high-quality easy-to-use digital recorder. Information gained during an oral history does not need to be shared with the public. Space is limited, so there is an option to call 716 672-2114 to reserve a spot at the workshop. Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Soups will be prepared by culinary arts students from BOCES to be served in compostable bowls with compostable spoons, which will be composted onsite at Wheelock. All proceeds go to food pantries in Chautauqua County.

Thanksgiving with the Birds – Adventures in Bird Banding

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes.
