‘Love Remembered’

fundraiser next weekend

SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Burial Association will be holding its seventh annual “Love Remembered” Bake Sale in the entryway of the South Dayton Supermarket on Saturday, Feb. 10 beginning at 9 a.m. There will be dozens of homemade goodies including pies, bread, cookies, candy, cupcakes, cakes. There will also be a donation box.

The fundraiser theme, “Love Remembered,” is a symbol of remembering those held close in our hearts during this holiday celebrating love.

All proceeds will help defray the maintenance and operating costs of the Villenova Cemetery. The event also offers an opportunity for members of the community to learn about the Association and how they might help in efforts to maintain and preserve the more than 200-year-old cemetery.

Super Bowl soup

orders being taken

A Super Bowl Sunday soup sale is being planned in Westfield. Orders for the following soups are being taken through Monday by calling ahead. There will be: turkey and rice; bean and ham; beef vegetable. Price is $7 per quart. Call to order your soup at 716-326-3243.

Pickup will be Feb. 11 in the First United Methodist Church of Westfield in the fellowship hall from 11 a.m. to noon only.

Library plans Monday

evening for children

SINCLAIRVILLE — Country Kids on the Fly will meet at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., on Monday at 6 p.m. This is a free program for ages 8 and up to learn fly tying techniques. All tools and materials will be provided.
