Festivals Fredonia presents: Festival Italia – Fredonia Italian Heritage Festival

Fredonia Beaver Club, 64 Prospect St. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: children’s activities; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: craft vendors, noon to 6 p.m.: food and wine vendors; 11 a.m. blessing of the Festival; 11 a.m. to noon: Italian dancers from Erie, PA.; 12:15 to 1 p.m.: Ian Messana Liedke; 2 p.m.: announcements of winners of meatball and wine making contest; 2 p.m.: wine garden under the tent; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Happy Days Band; Morra Tournament (Italian numbers game); 4 to 6 p.m.: The Formula Band. Italian-themed merchandise, basket raffle, interactive cultural display. Following the Festival, there will be another band provided by the Beaver Club and music by Party McFly.

Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy Charity Pro-Am golf tournament

Chautauqua Golf Club, 4731 W. Lake Road, Chautauqua, shotgun start at 11 a.m. Each team of 4 will include a visiting PGA professional from the WNY and Northwester PA areas. Two best ball format. Lunch served on the course, awards reception at the club’s Double Eagle banquet facility, dinner provided by the Athenaeum Hotel.
