All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size. Other open hours are Wednesdays 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Nov. 25 instead of Nov. 26 this month. Guests can only receive 1 helping a month.

Lakeshore Humane Society Wednesday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from 12 to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats.
