Barker Library plans frightening Poe presentation by Jerry Rose on Tuesday
Looking for something really frightening in the week leading up to Halloween?
Listen to Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” as Jerry Rose, who retired as chair of the SUNY Fredonia sociology and anthropology department some years ago, recites the rantings of a mad murderer as a simulated beating of his victim’s heart pounds away in the background. He will also be reciting three classic poems by Poe.
This event, planned for Tuesday at 7 p.m., is sponsored by the Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia. It is free and open to the public.
