NCC Suzuki at the Fredonia Farmers’ Market July 28

Again this year, the Fredonia Farmer’s Market is thrilled to welcome Northern Chautauqua County Suzuki with instructor Sandra Leary. This event will take place on Saturday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A keyboard performance featuring some of the students will be followed by a free mini-class for the public.

Using the Suzuki method, teacher Sandra Leary specializes in teaching young children applying the Mother Tongue Philosophy, which suggests that since children learn to speak their native language fluently through immersion, they can also learn to play music fluently using the same steps: listening, imitating, repeating, and, later on, reading. This method encourages musical growth on an individual basis, and nurtures natural musical ability.

Come hear these talented young students, and participate in a free keyboard lesson yourself!
