John T. Murray Post 1017 Auxiliary installs officers at lunch and meeting

The Auxiliary of the John T. Murray Post 1017 recently met with installation of officers by past county president/installing officer Robin Richmond. A luncheon was held before the meeting with buffet prepared by Brenda Drummond and Judi Perry. Members brought in desserts. Everything was delicious.

It was noted that President Rabb will attend the district and state conventions.

Standing motions were made and accepted. Officers’ training school will be held Aug. 2 to 4 at Binghamton University with Helen Weeks in charge. The department chairman will explain their programs.

Members told what they have done or donated in our programs. Members that can’t make it to our meeting and have things to report are asked to contact Rabb by phone 341-1328, or mail 10508 Bradigan Road, Forestville. Our programs include Veterans and Family support, cancer aid and research, Americanism, youth, hospital. What is needed is money spent, hours and miles. Mail or drop the information off at the Post in an envelope.

President Rabb is also asking for anyone who gets the OBSERVER, to please save the whole page that this article is in, and either mail or drop it off at the Post.

The next meeting will be June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Post. All members are encouraged to attend.
